Zingavita, a prominent startup in the health and wellness sector specializing in premium nutraceuticals and supplements, recently secured Rs 10 crore ($1.20 million) in a pre-series A funding round led by Anicut Capital. Other contributors to this funding round include Venkat Krishnan, Puru Gupta, Vishesh Chandiok, Nikhil Bhandarkar, and other experienced angel investors. Zingavita intends to utilize the funds to fuel its expansion into new product development, focusing on targeted nutrition and entering the premium ayurvedic supplement market.

The company's extensive portfolio, comprising over 25 products, is available on major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata 1mg. Zingavita has been at the forefront of developing innovative health products aimed at enhancing overall well-being.

In a parallel development, biotech firm Vgenomics India secured an undisclosed amount in seed funding, with Mumbai Angels leading the investment. Notable angel investors like Rohit Chanana and Sabine Kapasi also participated in the seed round. Vgenomics plans to allocate the funds towards developing diagnostic solutions and scaling its current operations in collaboration with neonatologists, gynaecologists, paediatricians, and clinical geneticists.

Nandini Mansinghka, CEO of Mumbai Angels, commended Vgenomics for its groundbreaking approach to using next-generation, AI-powered sequencing technologies to address rare diseases. She believes that this investment not only validates their innovative strategy but also contributes to impacting the lives of numerous children affected by rare diseases worldwide. Vgenomics generates revenue from prestigious customers, including researchers and clinicians from institutions like AIIMS, PGIMER, and Dr. Shroff, and has received accolades, including the Illumina Grant.
