We Founder Circle funds early-stage Indian startups in 2023.

On January 1st, 2023, We Founder Circle (WFC), a founders-led investment firm based in New Delhi, announced its significant involvement in the Indian startup ecosystem. Throughout the year, WFC disclosed its participation in 103 investment deals encompassing 82 startups, establishing itself as the largest angel investor network in the country. Over a span of three years, WFC has engaged in a total of 207 deals with 162 startups.

In the current year, more than 15 startups facilitated their subsequent funding rounds, and WFC executed partial exits in three startups for its investors. Notably, five partial exit discussions, involving corporate venture capitalists and acquisition offers, are currently in advanced stages, according to a statement from WFC.

The investment firm reported the active participation of over 1,000 investors hailing from 400 cities and over 40 countries. Their involvement has contributed to over 200 deals, amounting to a substantial investment of over $30 million in the past three years.

Neeraj Tyagi, Co-founder and CEO of We Founder Circle, highlighted the development of Invstt.com, a technology-driven global investment and networking platform for the startup and investor ecosystem. He also mentioned the establishment of two angel funds to support this initiative. Looking ahead to 2024, Tyagi expressed the intention to expand their investment activities, aiming to invest in over 200 startups to catalyze their growth through multiple funds.

WFC's support extends across various industries, including deep-tech, Web3, fintech, healthtech, agritech, electric vehicles (EV), direct-to-consumer (D2C), and more. Gaurav VK Singhvi, Managing Partner of Avinya Ventures and Co-founder of We Founder Circle, emphasized the launch of their VC fund, Avinya Ventures, as a significant step towards building a unique stage funding investment ecosystem for early-stage investing.

The global accelerator program, EvolveX, managed by WFC, has actively invested in over 25 startups in the past year. Some of these seed-stage startups have experienced substantial success, demonstrating aggressive month-on-month growth and securing next-round funding at higher multiples.

Bhawna Bhatnagar, Co-founder of We Founder Circle and leader of EvolveX, outlined plans for the upcoming year, expressing the intent to increase investments in startups across various technology domains.
