Food Processing Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras expressed the significance of startups in the food processing industry, affirming the government's dedication to supporting emerging entrepreneurs. He made these remarks during the inauguration of the "SUFALAM: Start-Up Forum for Aspiring Leaders and Mentors Startup Conclave 2024". Paras underscored the pivotal role startups play in the food processing sector, citing events like SUFALAM as valuable for networking, knowledge sharing, and accessing government schemes. He praised the government's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and facilitating a conducive environment for startups in the food processing field. Minister of State for Food Processing Shobha Karandlaje discussed supply chain dynamics and the sector's potential for advancing the Prime Minister's goal of doubling farmers' income and enhancing India's global standing through increased exports and innovation. Food Processing Secretary Anita Praveen stressed the importance of registering micro-entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and MSMEs on the StartUp India Portal.
