Unikon AI, a platform designed to help users monetize their time and expertise through networking, has successfully raised $2 million in a funding round. This round saw contributions from notable investors including Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha; Peyush Bansal, co-founder of Lenskart; Vishesh Khurana, co-founder of Shiprocket; and Gaurav Khatri, co-founder of Noise. Additional investors included comedian and content creator Tanmay Bhatt, Arjun Vaidya, the founder of Dr Vaidya’s, and several others.
Unikon AI is the brainchild of Aakash Anand, who previously founded Bellavita, a direct-to-consumer personal care brand acquired by Ananta Capital in Mumbai. The company, founded by Anand alongside Palash Arneja and Sumit Jha, has officially launched its new platform, designed to facilitate connections between users and advisors or peers for practical, relatable, and genuine advice.
Anand shared that the platform will initially generate revenue by taking a 20% commission on all interactions. As of now, approximately 7,000 individuals have set up their profiles on the platform, ready to offer their advice. The current user base includes professionals from various fields such as technology, marketing, entrepreneurship, and psychology, and the platform is set to be accessible on a global scale.
Anand also mentioned that by the end of the year, Unikon AI aims to facilitate around 2,000 calls daily. The platform anticipates having about 250,000 providers and up to 1 million users. Users on the platform can post queries seeking professional advice, organize events like webinars or workshops, and share their knowledge to earn income. The platform supports flexible pricing and scheduling for one-on-one sessions via chat, audio, or video calls.
Anand emphasized that Unikon AI is addressing the issue of access and fostering knowledge sharing, enabling users to package their skills and monetize their time and knowledge. Reflecting on his own journey, Anand highlighted the significant value of meaningful connections and their impact on personal and professional growth.
