The Kochi corporation council will convene on Friday to deliberate on several issues concerning the Brahmapuram Waste Treatment Plant. One key item on the agenda is the financial request for various projects associated with the plant. An estimated budget of ₹1,03,99,963 has been proposed for road improvements at the site, which includes constructing a road from the security cabin near the health department office to the panchayat road. This new road aims to facilitate the easy movement of vehicles to different sections of the plant, according to an overseer's report. The finance standing committee, during its meeting on June 20, 2024, recommended approving the funds and referred the matter to the council.

A joint inspection was carried out by the District Disaster Management Authority, Kerala State Pollution Control Board, Irrigation Department, Fire and Rescue Department, and Kochi Corporation after the Regional Fire Officer, Fire & Rescue Services, Ernakulam, submitted a special report on March 24, 2023. Based on the report, an urgent decision was made to install fire safety systems at the plant. An estimate of ₹3,00,000 was prepared for internal road restoration by the corporation's assistant engineer and received preliminary approval from the mayor. Following this, the tender process was initiated and awarded to the lowest bidder, who quoted ₹3,00,000. The council will also validate this awarded work.

Additionally, the council will consider a request from CSML to reevaluate the use of CSML poles for installing advertising boards.
