Laurent Sifre and Karl Tuyls, scientists at Google's AI subsidiary DeepMind, are reportedly in discussions with investors to establish a new AI startup in Paris, as per Bloomberg News sources. The proposed company, currently referred to as Holistic, aims to raise over 200 million euros in a financing round. The scientists, who have already given notice to leave DeepMind, may focus on developing a novel AI model. Google and DeepMind have not yet responded to Reuters' requests for comments. Mistral AI, a Paris-based company co-founded by a former DeepMind researcher, announced in December that it had secured 385 million euros in its second funding round in seven months, highlighting the growing interest and investment in AI startups.
