Nita Mukesh Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, has a profound connection with Varanasi, a city known for its spiritual significance and the renowned Kashi Vishwanath temple. Before her youngest son Anant Ambani's marriage to Radhika Merchant, Nita Ambani visited Varanasi to seek blessings and ensure a blessed beginning for the couple. During her visit, she participated in the Ganga Aarti and enjoyed local delicacies like chaat, reflecting her deep appreciation for the city's cultural richness.

Inspired by Varanasi's beauty, Nita Ambani plans to celebrate India's heritage during the wedding festivities. The Ambani family aims to showcase the country's spiritual grandeur through the work of numerous artisans, weavers, and craftsmen. The wedding menu will feature specialties such as Benarasi chaat and paan, highlighting the region's culinary delights.

Ahead of the celebrations, Nita Ambani wore an exquisite 28 chauk jaal Rangkat saree adorned with floral motifs and zardosi, designed by Manish Malhotra in collaboration with Swadesh Online. This garment pays homage to India's artisanal craftsmanship and took over six months to create, emphasizing the legacy of skill passed down through generations.
