Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bengaluru today to celebrate the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. The Karnataka BJP has organized a grand reception, which will include a roadshow in Peenya and an event at HAL Airport. This visit provides Bengaluru with a chance to honor its strong ties with ISRO and its scientists. Chandrayaan-3 achieved a successful landing on the Moon on August 21, making India the fourth nation to accomplish this and the first to reach the unexplored lunar south pole. The mission's Lander Module, which includes the lander named Vikram and the rover named Pragyan, safely landed near the Moon's south pole. ISRO has confirmed that the rover has been deployed, describing it as a "walk on the moon."
