Active investors and fund managers are constantly seeking investment opportunities that outperform the benchmark, requiring the identification of alpha—a comprehensive strategy to beat the market. However, this is a challenging task with no one-size-fits-all approach. Successful investors often combine various strategies, such as analyzing chart patterns and monitoring geopolitical events. Asset managers must process vast amounts of unstructured information annually, including transcripts, tweets, presentations, reports, and interviews. Kshana.ai, based in the US and Bengaluru, aims to simplify this process through its AI-driven asset management platform. Using large language models (LLMs), it employs natural language processing to extract insights from structured and unstructured sources. Kshana's platform streamlines analysis and scrutiny for asset managers, eliminating the need for manual data digging. The startup has received angel funding and plans to raise additional capital from institutions. Its platform, currently being tested by five global hedge funds, is set to launch in Q1 2024. Kshana aims to partner with alternative data platforms and compete with firms like AlphaSense, Tegus, Generative Alpha, Finchat.io, and Bloomberg in the growing global financial analytics market, projected to reach $18.71 billion by 2030.
