Japan's inaugural privately created rocket detonates shortly after liftoff.

Japan's inaugural privately developed rocket, Kairos, experienced a mid-air explosion shortly after lift off. The incident was captured on a live-streamed video, depicting flames and smoke enveloping the vicinity. Efforts were made to suppress the fire. The Tokyo-based startup, Space One, accountable for the launch, has refrained from providing any comment. This launch had faced numerous delays. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

In New Delhi, Kairos, Japan's premier privately crafted rocket, exploded shortly after lift off on Wednesday. The live-streamed footage portrayed the rocket's departure from Wakayama Prefecture in central Japan, followed by a substantial plume of smoke and sporadic flames. However, there have been no indications of injuries or structural harm.

The launch had encountered multiple postponements, with the latest delay attributed to the presence of a vessel within a hazardous area, according to Japanese media reports.

Space One, headquartered in Tokyo and responsible for the rocket's launch, has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident. If successful, Space One would have secured the distinction of being the first private entity in Japan to launch a rocket into orbit.

Established in 2018, Space One received investments from prominent Japanese corporations, including Canon Electronics, IHI, Shimizu, and major financial institutions.
