How Fabrito Is Addressing Supply Chain Challenges for Garment Manufacturers

Founded in 2022, Fabrito is a B2B fabric marketplace designed to streamline fabric sourcing for brands and garment manufacturers. Its customer base includes D2C fashion brands, small to medium-sized retailers, and larger brands that frequently launch new collections in response to shifting consumer trends. Fabrito aims to offer 3,000 fabrics by the end of the month, expanding to nearly 10,000 by the following month.

With the fashion apparel and accessories sector becoming the second-largest segment in the country’s fast-growing ecommerce space—expected to surpass $112 billion by 2030—both global and domestic brands are eager to capitalize on this momentum. The fashion industry in India is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25%, driven by an expanding middle class, increasing disposable incomes, and the influence of social media on fashion trends.

However, the Indian fashion supply chain remains fragmented and faces several challenges. Many small-scale manufacturers struggle with inefficiencies, inconsistent fabric quality, rising transportation costs, and labor shortages, making it difficult to meet demand efficiently.

This is where Fabrito steps in, founded by Mayank Narain, Pushpendra Singh, and Naresh Dhaka. Fabrito offers a variety of fabric options, fast turnaround times, and caters to small order quantities, enabling smaller brands to meet market demands and keep up with fast-changing fashion trends. In its first fiscal year, Fabrito achieved more than INR 6 crore in sales.

Naresh Dhaka, who has over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, including roles at fashion ecommerce platform eShakti and B2B marketplace Fashinza, noticed inefficiencies in traditional fabric supply chains. Brands struggled with sourcing fabrics quickly and in small quantities, which delayed the launch of new collections. This realization led to Fabrito's creation, which addresses these challenges by aggregating surplus, export-quality fabrics from across the country onto a single platform.

Fabrito also provides a mobile app for fabric suppliers to upload product details, making it easier for manufacturers to source fabric quickly and efficiently, solving critical supply chain issues in India.
