Sunil Agarwal joined his father's business, Vinod Cookware, at the age of 19 and took over the company's leadership in 2010 after his father's passing. He quickly expanded the business, building on the strong foundation his father had established and maintaining the brand's position as a leader in the cookware market. Today, Vinod Cookware is a Rs 250 crore company offering a wide range of over 400 products, including stainless-steel pressure cookers, cast iron cookware, and PFOA-free non-stick cookware.
Sunil's journey with Vinod Cookware began when he joined the business, led by his father, at a young age. The company, originally founded in 1962 by Sunil's father, Rajeram Agarwal, started as a trading business and later established its first manufacturing unit in Bhandup, Mumbai, in 1977, producing stainless steel products. Over the years, Vinod Cookware has evolved from a local manufacturer of stainless steel bowls and dishes to a globally recognized name in the cookware industry.
As a second-generation entrepreneur, Sunil understands the unique balance between preserving traditional values and embracing innovation to keep the company relevant. He acknowledges that while inheriting a well-established platform has its advantages, it also comes with the challenge of upholding a legacy. Sunil is committed to maintaining the high standards set by his father in every decision he makes.
Under his leadership, Vinod Cookware has consistently led in innovation, from establishing a new impact-bonded line for manufacturing pressure cookers and cookware in 2009 to launching the Triply Series in 2016, which features three layers of stainless steel for enhanced heat conductivity and durability.
