
The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) has entered into a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agreement with Gliders India, a prominent defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), with the aim of fostering innovation in the healthcare sector. Through this CSR collaboration, Gliders India will offer financial support and mentorship to startups incubated at SIIC, focusing on advanced medical technologies, digital health solutions, telemedicine applications, and healthcare infrastructure innovations. This partnership seeks to capitalize on IIT Kanpur's technological expertise in conjunction with Gliders India Limited's industry knowledge to develop impactful solutions tackling critical healthcare challenges in India. Gliders India will facilitate connections between startups and domain experts, industry resources, and market networks, thereby expediting their growth and commercialization endeavours. The strategic assistance provided by the PSU will empower these startups to effectively navigate the intricate healthcare landscape. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony held at Gliders India Headquarters saw the participation of key representatives from both organizations, including Piyush Mishra, CFO/COO, and Amines Mishra, Head Défense from SIIC, IIT Kanpur, as well as Sunil Date, Director of Operations & HR, Surendra Dhapodkar, Director of Finance, S.K. Singh, General Manager/Op & HR, and B.L. Meena, Jt GM/HR & PV from Gliders India.
