Gaurav Gupta, a former executive at Zomato, has initiated the launch of his startup.

Updated: Jan 21

Gaurav Gupta, the former co-founder of Zomato, has introduced a health-tech startup called Gabit. The platform integrates personalised meal plans, fitness plans, fitness wearables, health tech products, and skincare items. Last year, Gabit secured $9.5 million in seed funding from investors like Norwest Venture Partners, Amit Agarwal (Amazon), Deepinder Goyal (Zomato), and Kunal Shah (Cred). The startup utilises science-backed skincare products and proprietary AI tools such as FitBot, Food Score, and SkinBot. The launch of Gabit aligns with the increased focus on health and wellness products and services in response to the pandemic. Gaurav Gupta, inspired by his own health journey during the pandemic, emphasises the interconnected nature of health, combining fitness, nutrition, sleep, mental wellness, and skincare. Gabit, founded in 2022, operates with a holistic approach to wellness and has garnered a diverse community spanning ages 18 to 70. Gaurav Gupta, along with his wife Arpana Shahi, leads the company, which aims to help users adopt and maintain healthy habits through coaching, products, and services. The platform also offers a range of skincare products, including moisturisers, serums, face wash, and sunscreens. Gabit is operated by Betterlife Horizons Private Limited, listing Gupta and Shahi as directors. Gupta had previously served as the COO of Zomato and co-founded Gabit after resigning from the food delivery company in September 2021.
