Flipkart's B2C arm is on the verge of reaching the INR 15,000 Cr sales milestone.

In the fiscal year 2023, Flipkart Internet, the business-to-consumer (B2C) division of Walmart's Flipkart, experienced a substantial surge in operating revenue, nearing the INR 15,000 Cr milestone. The revenue soared by 42%, reaching INR 14,845.8 Cr compared to the INR 10,477.4 Cr reported in FY22.

Flipkart Internet primarily generates revenue through commission fees and additional services provided to merchants, encompassing product advertising. When considering other income sources, the overall revenue for the company increased by 41%, reaching INR 15,044 Cr in the reviewed year, up from INR 10,640.5 Cr in FY22.

A notable achievement for the company was the reduction in cash burn, contributing to a 9% decrease in net losses. In the fiscal year under review, the net loss diminished to INR 4,026.5 Cr, a noteworthy improvement from the INR 4,419.5 Cr reported in FY22.
