Fit & Flex founder Patel criticizes Shark Tank judges for their lack of expertise.

-

Pathik Patel from Fit & Flex, who appeared on Shark Tank India last season, recently discussed his negative experience with the judges on Raj Shamani's YouTube podcast. Patel criticized Anupam Mittal and Deepinder Goyal for their lack of understanding and accused the show of unfair editing that overlooked the data he provided. He clarified that his goal on the show was to boost brand awareness rather than secure funding.

Patel expressed frustration over how his pitch was interrupted by Anupam and Deepinder, particularly over concerns about the healthiness of his product's ingredients. He defended his use of oligofructose, explaining it is not an artificial sweetener and has a glycemic index of 0, unlike sugar which has a GI of 68. Patel felt dismissed and demotivated when Anupam refused to accept this explanation.

He also noted a debate over Anupam's claim that oats are unhealthy, which prompted a response from Namita Thapar. Deepinder's criticism of Patel's tagline, "Eat healthy, live well," was another point of contention. Despite the issues faced on the show, Patel reported a significant sales boost, with an 11x increase the day after the episode aired and an 8x increase the following week.
