FirstCry experiences a more than 500% surge in losses, reaching INR 486 Cr.

FirstCry witnessed a significant increase in its net loss, soaring over 500% in FY23 and reporting a consolidated net loss of INR 486 Cr, in contrast to the INR 78.6 Cr recorded in the previous fiscal year.
It's noteworthy that the startup had achieved a net profit of INR 215.9 Cr in FY21.
During the same fiscal year, FirstCry achieved a milestone as its sales exceeded the INR 5,000 Cr mark. The operating revenue also experienced substantial growth, rising by 135% to INR 5,632.5 Cr in FY23 from INR 2,401.2 Cr in the preceding fiscal year. The primary source of revenue for the company is the sale of baby care products.
When considering other income, the total income for FY23 reached INR 5,731.2 Cr, marking a notable increase of 127.7% from the INR 2,516.9 Cr reported in FY22.
