Bolt.Earth has reportedly terminated approximately 20% of its workforce, although several reliable sources suggest that the layoffs have affected up to 35% of the startup's employees. The company, which originally employed around 250 individuals, initiated the restructuring process last week. Employees affected by the layoffs were individually informed of the decision by senior management during one-on-one interactions. In a conversation with Bolt.Earth's co-founders, Jyotiranjan Harichandan and Mohit Yadav, clarified that the layoffs specifically targeted the startup's operating system (OS) team. They attributed the decision to the uncertainties surrounding the government's FAME II scheme.
