Saarthi AI's CEO, Nath Jha, has alleged that a former employee stole his passport, which contained a US visa, hampering his efforts to raise funds for the company. Despite denying claims of unpaid salaries, Jha admitted to financial difficulties. Following significant layoffs and investor pressure, the company has struggled with allegations of unpaid wages. Jha has stated that while a new passport has been issued, the process to obtain a new US visa is lengthy. Saarthi AI has acknowledged failures in salary payments and TDS deposits over the past two years, but Jha assures transparency and efforts to become cash flow positive by Q2 2024. The startup is also working to secure new investment to address its financial obligations.
