
The Mega Expo, themed "Emerging Startup Trends in North India," is set to be inaugurated by the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, in New Delhi tomorrow. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, will also be present at the event, emphasizing the government's commitment to fostering a sustainable startup ecosystem. The Expo, organized jointly by BIRAC, DBT, GoI, and CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, aims to showcase 25 startups from North India, promoting innovation and collaboration in various sectors such as agriculture, biotechnology, medical devices, food technology, and more. The government's efforts, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, have contributed to the substantial growth of startups in the country, with over 1.30 lakh startups and more than 100 unicorns. The Expo provides a platform for networking, connecting entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, and industry professionals, while also serving as an educational opportunity for local youth and students. The Vice President will engage with various stakeholders, including traders, academicians, technocrats, and members of civil society, reinforcing the government's initiatives to empower and encourage entrepreneurship in the region.
