Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan advocated for a revamped education system focused on research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, urging faculty members to lead by example. He emphasized the need for collaborations with other institutions and industries to bolster India's startup ecosystem globally. Pradhan highlighted Odisha's rich tradition of innovation, citing the Konark temple as an example, and underscored the potential of the youth to drive change in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He called for streamlining processes and providing better access to resources for aspiring entrepreneurs, urging industry leaders to support startups by offering solutions to their problems. Pradhan emphasized India's role in addressing global challenges and lauded the growing participation of women in the startup ecosystem. IIT Bhubaneswar Chairman RP Singh stressed the importance of innovation and research for societal progress, expressing confidence in the institute's leadership in this regard. The event saw the signing of MoUs between IIT Bhubaneswar and 15 companies, aiming to achieve the 100-Cube objective, with Oil India contributing Rs 3.5 crore to support four startups incubated by the institute.
