Cypher 2024, India’s largest AI conference organized by AIM Media House, has launched in grand fashion, exceeding expectations on the first day with over 1,500 participants and more than 600 companies in attendance. One of the main highlights was a discussion between Mohan Das Pai, former CFO and Board Member at Infosys, and journalist Bhupendra Chaubey. Pai explored the growing technological partnership between India and the United States, suggesting that these two nations are poised to become key players in the global digital space. He compared Bengaluru to San Francisco, emphasizing their similar tech-driven cultures and strong appeal to innovators worldwide.
While San Francisco has long been a leading hub for tech founders due to its talent, investments, and trends, Bengaluru is rapidly gaining recognition as a major startup ecosystem. Pai noted, however, that Bengaluru needs more capital to fully compete. He emphasized that with proper investment, Bengaluru, already home to 350,000 chip designers, testers, and embedded software experts, has the world’s largest concentration of design and testing talent.
