Ivory, an age-tech startup, has secured $500,000 in its seed funding round led by early-stage VC fund Capital A. Notable angel investors such as Ujwal Sutaria of TDV Partners, Abhishek Kabra of Samara Capital, Tushar Vashisht of HealthifyMe, Abhishek Ganguly of Agilitas Sports, and Rajeev Singh of SAP India also participated in the investment round.

The company focuses on providing services to individuals facing brain-related issues and intends to utilize the funding to extend its reach to over 15 million elderly Indians at risk of dementia, addressing an area of neuro wellness that has been overlooked.

According to Issac John, co-founder and CEO of Ivory, urban seniors, particularly those living alone, encounter challenges in monitoring cognitive health, especially during the pandemic-induced isolation. Ivory aims to bridge these gaps by offering a tech-driven platform that provides clinical tools and expertise for better brain health to millions of Indians.

Rahul Krishnan, co-founder and chief product officer, highlighted Ivory's dedication to developing a pioneering platform dedicated to seniors' cognitive wellness and fostering healthy brain habits. The company offers various interactive content, social games, neuroscience-backed assessments, and comprehensive wellness programs to improve cognitive well-being and reduce the risk of brain-related ailments like dementia.

Ankit Kedia, founder and lead investor at Capital A, commended Ivory's proactive approach to cognitive wellness, acknowledging the increasing demand for engaging and effective wellness solutions in the age-tech sector. He expressed excitement about partnering with Ivory and its scalable mix of content, community activities, and gaming.

Operating in the age-tech sector, Ivory targets individuals aged 55 and above, including retirees, with the aim of maintaining and enhancing mental and cognitive abilities. Through skill-enhancing exercises, community-driven engagement, and assessments, Ivory strives to create a sense of belonging among its members, serving as a mental fitness center for the older demographic.
