Flipkart has evolved from being a leading e-commerce marketplace to acquiring a variety of businesses over the years. It has expanded into sectors like online travel, fashion, medicine delivery, logistics, and more recently, quick-commerce. Up until 2022, it had a successful fintech venture, but when PhonePe was spun off, Flipkart’s $35 billion empire was left without a significant fintech presence. However, in June, Flipkart re-entered the fintech space with Super.money, a new credit-focused unified payments interface (UPI) app.
