Pune: The newly elected president of TiE Pune chapter, Ajay Bhagwat, has revealed ongoing discussions and initiatives to facilitate access to institutional Venture Capital (VC) and Private Equity (PE) investors for startup founders in the city. Bhagwat emphasized the need to support companies of various sizes, not just emerging startups. He stressed the importance of building profitable companies rather than solely focusing on revenue or user acquisition. TiE Nurture, over the past 11 years, has assisted over 300 startups, with more than 150 successfully graduating from the program.

Strata, a tech-enabled commercial real estate investment platform, has launched a commercial office asset in Vimannagar for fractional ownership. The property, spanning 53,000 sq ft, is leased to India's flex working space and aims to raise ₹78 crore. Sudarshan Lodha, Co-founder and CEO of Strata, highlighted the strategic location, high-quality property, and industry-leading tenant as key features making it an attractive investment opportunity.

The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in collaboration with ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (IIP), organized an interactive session on business opportunities in West and Central Africa in Pune. The session aimed to create awareness about opportunities in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), economic zones, and financing options across 10 countries. India's increasing role as an inbound investment center for Africa was discussed, driven by the Indian Government's efforts to diversify investments.

Altair has inaugurated its Innovation Experience Centre at Dhole Patil Road in Pune, showcasing AI-driven technology at the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT). The center will feature applications related to digital twin, lightweighting, and virtual reality connectivity, offering a hands-on experience of Altair's technology solutions in design innovation.

Tata BlueScope Steel has introduced the "shelter for all" initiative at its Prarambh event in Pune. The initiative aims to address critical shelter and housing issues by providing shelter for living and non-living entities, including animals, aircraft hangars, ship docks, metro stations, and other societal needs. Anoop Kumar Trivedi, Managing Director of Tata BlueScope Steel, expressed the goal of enhancing lives through this comprehensive shelter initiative.
