Attentive.ai secures $7 million to enhance automation within landscaping and construction services.

Attentive.ai, a startup specializing in vertical software solutions for landscaping and construction services in the United States, has secured $7 million in new funding to advance its AI-driven offerings and expand its reach to additional businesses.

Led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India, the Series A round of funding, conducted entirely in equity, follows a previous $5 million seed investment and also involves participation from Attentive.ai's existing backers: Peak XV's Surge and InfoEdge Ventures. Additionally, Mumbai-based investment firm Tenacity Ventures has joined in through a secondary investment.

Traditionally, landscaping and outdoor services have heavily relied on manual measurements, incurring labor and operational expenses. These processes, whether for site measurement or paving maintenance, require significant time and financial investment upfront to estimate costs, necessary materials, and project durations accurately. However, inaccuracies in estimates can lead to issues such as overbidding or underbidding, impacting revenue goals. As the real estate industry continues to expand, companies in landscaping and outdoor services seek technological solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Enter Attentive.ai, which addresses these challenges through AI and computer vision technology. Founded in April 2021 and headquartered in Delaware with an office in Noida, India, the startup offers an end-to-end business management platform tailored for landscaping and construction companies in North America. This platform, already adopted by major industry players like Juniper, U.S. Lawns, Beary Landscaping, Greenscape, Nanak, and East Coast Facilities, employs AI-based workflows to automate processes, thus saving time and enabling more accurate bidding for outdoor contracts.

A key component of Attentive.ai's platform is Automeasure, an automation tool that provides automated site measurements for services such as landscape, paving, facilities maintenance, and snow management. Users can access property measurements using a Google Maps-like interface by inputting a property address and defining the lot boundary. Additionally, the tool allows for manual upload of blueprints in PDF format, facilitating material quantity estimation based on site size and other parameters. Moreover, the platform offers a dedicated on-site assistance app for real-time data access and note-taking during field operations.

In addition to Automeasure, Attentive.ai offers Accelerate, its flagship cloud-based business management software, which streamlines sales processes, operational workflows, production planning, and employee attendance tracking. Integrated with aerial and blueprint takeoffs, Accelerate enhances efficiency and transparency within landscaping and construction companies.

With the recent funding round, Attentive.ai aims to expand its market presence and enhance its product offerings. The startup has also broadened its focus to include construction operations, targeting general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers with a new tool called Beam AI. This tool automates construction estimates using blueprint plans and undergoes quality assurance review by the startup's team.

Despite existing competition in the landscaping and construction automation sector, Attentive.ai differentiates itself through its AI-driven approach and expertise in computer vision technology. The startup also highlights its round-the-clock customer support from India as a cost-effective and reliable advantage.

Attentive.ai plans to allocate the raised funds towards expanding its team in the United States, hiring additional personnel, and further developing its product suite. With over 500 companies already utilizing its services across the United States and Canada, the startup aims to attract more customers by continuing to enhance its products and marketing efforts.
