Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has allocated seed funding to 40 qualifying startups.

Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, awarded commencement certificates to 35 startups that have achieved readiness and pre-development under the APEDP 2.0 scheme. Additionally, funding was disbursed to 40 selected startups to kickstart their ventures under the APEDP 3.0 initiative. This event was organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP) as part of the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Program (APEDP) Version 3.0.

Among the 40 chosen startups under APEDP 3.0, the top 10 winners will receive 5 lakh each, while the remaining 30 promising startups will receive 4 lakh each based on their achievements. These startups will also benefit from mentorship, development, and pre-development incubation provided by APIIP over the next nine months. At the event, the graduating cohort of Cohort 2.0 startups showcased their products and services.

The initiative is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of "Reform, Perform, and Transform" to foster the growth of Arunachal Pradesh and contribute to a developed India. Khandu emphasized the importance of dreams and encouraged the selected startups, stating, "Dream big. The sky's the limit." He assured that the startups would be provided with all necessary support regarding investment, accounting, and tax laws to succeed and thrive in their respective fields.

Khandu highlighted the various investment platforms available, including venture capitals and Angel networks. He mentioned that APIIP has supported and provided seed capital to 66 startups to date, with this year's batch of 40 startups bringing the total beneficiaries under APEDP to 106.
