Aroa Venture introduces a $50 million fund.Aroa Venture Partners has introduced a new fund aiming to raise Rs 400 crore (approximately $50 million).




The Aroa Opportunities Fund, categorized as a category II alternative investment fund (AIF) by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) in October 2022, has already secured commitments exceeding its target amount. The firm intends to invest between Rs 4 crore and Rs 40 crore in 20-25 startups from this fund. Additionally, they have allocated an extra Rs 400 crore for a greenshoe option. Founded in 2020 by Gaurav Gulati, Aroa Venture Partners primarily focuses on early to growth-stage businesses across various sectors, with Oyo founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal as its sole limited partner. Endiya Partners, known for backing several successful ventures, including Darwinbox, Cult.fit, and Kissht, has also revealed plans to launch its third fund with a targeted corpus ranging from Rs 800 crore to Rs 1,000 crore.
