In Bhubaneswar, Akanksha Priyadarshini, CEO of Aurassure, a climate-tech startup, highlighted the significance of women's empathetic and compassionate nature in addressing climate change issues. She emphasized that women's innate emotional tendencies are well-suited to contribute to healing the environment. After graduating from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela in 2016, Akanksha received a lucrative job offer from Deloitte as a software engineer, which she turned down to pursue her dream of creating something of her own. Subsequently, she worked as a hardware development engineer at Phoneix Robotix, a tech startup owned by her husband. In May 2022, Akanksha established Aurassure with the aim of providing real-time weather forecast data through IoT-enabled systems, empowering both the government and citizens to make informed decisions for a healthier lifestyle. Securing Rs 4 crore in a seed round from Unicorn India in September 20, 2023, marked the startup's initial success. Later, Aurassure received national awards for e-governance in recognition of its meticulous efforts in mitigating environmental disasters. Akanksha attributed the success of Aurassure to having a strong idea at its core.
