Bengaluru-based e-learning startup 90+ My Tuition App, which provides syllabus and textbook-oriented digital classes, has gained over 1,000 paying students in the UAE within its first year of operations. While many Indian edtech companies, like BYJU'S, upGrad, and Unacademy, are focusing on internal challenges, 90+ My Tuition App identified an opportunity in the Gulf region. Four years after its launch in India, the startup expanded to Dubai, UAE, in 2022, following a $5 million Series A funding round led by directors of Dubai-based Pearl Investment LLC in 2021. The platform offers CBSE-aligned lessons, digital textbooks, and live classes, catering to non-resident Indian students in GCC countries. According to Co-founder Vingish K Vijyan, the expansion was driven by strong demand from CBSE students in the GCC for quality tuition, especially from Indian tutors, as revealed by extensive market research. The startup has successfully enrolled over 1,000 paying students from the UAE and Qatar in its first year in the region.
