A Tracxn report reveals that approximately 75% of startups led by women remain without funding.

According to a recent Tricin report, India hosts over 8,000 startups founded by women, collectively securing nearly $23 billion in funding to date. Despite this, 6,000 of these startups remain without funding, although 590 of them have generated revenues surpassing $30,000. Data from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade indicates that there are currently 117,254 startups in India.

The Tricin report highlights that women entrepreneurs represent over 18 percent of the Indian tech industry, with funded companies constituting more than 14 percent of this representation. Over the last decade, the proportion of funding obtained by startups led by women has steadily increased, accounting for more than 15 percent of overall startup investments in India from 2020 to 2022.
