A startup in agricultural technology emerges as the winner of the FSI innovation challenge.

Farmceries, a Nigerian agricultural technology startup, emerged as the winner of the 2024 FSI Innovation Challenge, earning a cash prize of N800,000 along with a three-month business incubation program. The competition aimed to tackle challenges in Nigeria's agricultural sector, attracting participants from various tertiary institutions who collaborated to develop impactful solutions across agriculture, health, and financial services.

Farmceries claimed the top prize, with Goalgetters and Smepay securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. Over the course of two months, participants received comprehensive training, including webinars on problem statements, Lean Canvas utilization for idea documentation, constructing minimum viable products, and perfecting pitching skills.

Aituaz Kola-Oladejo, the Executive Director at FSI, expressed the organization's dedication to fostering tech talent and promoting entrepreneurship.
